According to the census of 1860, Joseph Curran [DS.10], the youngest child of Denis Curran and Sarah McKinley, was born in Chicago in the year ending 31 May 1859. I have found no memory or record of Joseph except the census of 1860. If still living in June 1870, Joseph [DS.10], at about age 11, would still have been residing with his parents at 1425 or 1427 Broadway in St. Louis MO. When I learn the number of the precinct or subdivision in which those addresses were located in June 1870, I shall renew my search for Denis [D], Sarah [S], and Joseph [DS.10] in the census records of 1870. Although the
City Directory of St. Louis has several listings for a Joseph
Curran in the period 1874 — 1887, the addresses seem unrelated
to the residence of Denis Curran and family except one: |
